OSBR Home Rehabilitation Grant Program
The Center for Planning Excellence is offering a Homeowner Rehabilitation Grant Program to assist in the repair and updating of existing owner-occupied homes within Old South Baton Rouge, any of the eight Project Development Areas (PDA) prioritized. CPEX has sucessfully rehabilitated 10 homes in the OSBR community, preserving the quality of the neighborhood, expanding the supply of safe, affordable housing, and helping homeowners carry out and maintain home improvements. The program seeks to improve eligible low-income, homeowner occupied homes located in communities. Eligible homeowner rehabilitation activities include the repair, rehabilitation, or reconstruction of homes in order to improve efficiency and handicapped accessibility. All improvements in OSBR must also be performed in a manner consistent with the applicable regulations codes and ordinances and the design criteria outlined in the OSBR Pattern Book.
