OSBR Home Rehabilitation Grant Program
The Center for Planning Excellence is offering a Home Rehabilitation Grant Program to assist in the repair and updating of existing owner-occupied homes within any of the eight (8) Old South Baton Rouge Project Development Areas (PDA). The program seeks to preserve the quality of the OSBR neighborhood, expand the supply of safe, affordable housing, and help homeowners carry out and maintain home improvements. The grant will fund up to $5,000, within the program limits listed on the next page, in improvements to eligible low-income, elderly, homeowners in single-family homes located in the Old South Baton Rouge (OSBR) community. See map. Eligible home improvements may include plumbing, electrical, windows, doors, roofing, interior & exterior painting, energy efficiency repairs, landscaping, and performing other improvements in a manner consistent with the applicable regulations codes and ordinances and the design criteria outlined in the OSBR Pattern Book.
The application period for Round III of the Home Rehab Program is currently closed. Applications for Round IV of the Home Rehab Program can be sumitted at any time for spring selection. Please check back for the determined deadline date.
